Medicaid Information Technology Architecture (MITA)

MMISME has lead and participated in MITA SS-As for the states of Florida, Minnesota, Indiana, Kentucky, Alaska and the District of Columbia (DC). As a part of this responsibility MMISME facilitated training and work sessions with state SMEs to collect the necessary information to update or produce the MITA 3.0 SS-A which included developing/updating these state's MITA visions and producing their 5 year MITA maturity plans and roadmap and MITA Concepts of Operations. 

Advanced Planning Document (APD) Support 

In Puerto Rico MMISME provided technical writing support and assisted in the Development of the different types of planning documents including APDs, Implementation, Operations and related updates necessary to obtain federal funding. 

RFP Development 

In the State of Florida and the Commonwealth of Virginia MMISME assisted with requirements definition and RFP development to support MMIS Modular Replacement and Modernization and assisted with the development of proposal evaluation plans and procedures for Virginia proposal evaluators to follow when evaluating MMIS Vendor proposals responding to RFPs.

MMISME has experience working on and completing tasks associated with the DDI phase of building MMIS and Medicaid Enterprise (MES) technology solutions. In Georgia, Mississippi and Puerto Rico MMISME provided SMEs and Project Managers to support DDI efforts in various State IT Project Management Offices (PMO). Our specialty is helping states prepare for federal MMIS Certification reviews that occur throughout the development lifecycle.

MMISME has direct experience maintaining the day-to-day operations that are sometimes contracted out to vendors responsible for fiscal agent services including Provider and Member Call/Contact Centers, Provider Field Services Support, Provider Enrollment, Provider and State/Commonwealth Employee and Provider Training, Claims Operations, Coordination of Benefits, Third Party Liability (TPL), Mail Room Operations and Financial Dispositions. We also have experience helping states prepare and achieve final certification of their MMIS modules.

Our president has a Journalism degree from the University of Florida which enables us to offer technical writing services to our clients. We have experience developing RFPs, proposal responses, preparing deliverables, procedure manuals, newsletters, instruction manuals and marketing materials.
